Attention is everything

Attention is everything
I hate being shushed but SHH and pay attention

Something I’ve never quite been able to explain is how a kid growing up in Karnal knew to care so much about his shoes. Sneaker culture might have been big in the West, but where I’m from, we were still getting excited about our first McDonald’s. I didn’t get to touch the internet until I was eleven.

I share this because it speaks to something deeper. Sometimes we’re pulled toward things that don’t logically make sense. These pulls aren’t always explainable. But that doesn’t make them less real. In fact, I think those strange, quiet signals are worth paying close attention to. Keep your antenna up. You don’t need to react or announce. Just notice.

Taste, in that sense, is a form of intelligence. Not the curated, trend-chasing kind. Real taste. The kind that’s subtle, and intentional as the source intended.

Try thinking of yourself as a magnet. It’s not just metaphor. Science and spirit both agree that we’re made of the same fundamental stuff as everything else. Matter, energy, thought. It’s all connected. We're already connected.

If you’ve seen Interstellar or Everything Everywhere All At Once, this might be easier to grasp. To attract something, you first have to know what it is you want to attract. For us, typically goals, visions for a kind of life, relationships. The clearer that image becomes, the stronger your pull.

The best way I know to create that clarity is through meditation. And I don’t just mean incense and chanting. I mean sitting still long enough to hear yourself think and then convincing yourself of whatever it may be.

Here’s the strange part. When you deeply imagine something, your body begins to experience it. Not just mentally but physically. You start to become the thing you’re thinking of. And that changes your frequency. You begin to pull in what resonates with that energy.

From there, it becomes about sensitivity. You need to stay open enough to feel what’s real and what’s not. To notice the quiet signals. Some will be false gold. That’s part of it. Getting fooled is sometimes how you sharpen your instincts. But the more you practice, the better YOUR taste becomes. And real taste doesn’t chase trends. It doesn’t get loud. It just knows and exists.

None of this is easy. But it might not be as hard as we’ve made it. Being in tune with your magnetic self will fill your life more than being right ever could.

Maybe that’s the point. Not just knowing when something feels right, but having the courage to move toward it, even if it makes no logical sense. In tech, people are currently arguing over the idea of “vibe coding.”There’s something powerful in trusting what resonates before it’s fully defined.

Be honest with yourself. Let coherence, not lack or habit, guide your choices. There’s no manual for this. Just a signal. A quiet one. You already feel it.
